Carl is an adorable 1o-year-old boy with dreamy eyes, who enjoys colouring pictures in my office. I notice immediately that he has an excellent sense of colour. His mother tells me that he is very creative and produces a lot of art work.
Carl is suffering from chronic sinus congestion for at least five years. He has dark circles under his eyes. His mother reports that he snores at night and feels better when he avoids dairy products.
The Words are Moving on the Page
Carl is also highly dyslexic. He cannot read well because the words appear to move on the page, especially if someone speaks to him while he is reading. He tells me that words can move from one line to another.
He may also easily mix up the letters b and d, p and q. In math he is often spaced out and in his own world.
"I can hear the teacher talking but the words don't make any sense," he says. The teachers think he has a visual processing disorder.
Carl is a very sensitive child and naturally tuned into the world of nature and spirit. He has a strong connection to nature and likes to spend time in the woods communing with the trees.
He is slow to answer questions and seems a bit spacey.
Dreams and Fears
Carl has dreams of being in a world of shapes, like triangles, squares and circles, all in different colours, blue, yellow, green. He also has dreams of floating. He has difficulty going to sleep at night.
He has a fear of dying and is sensitive to scary movies. He had a lot of separation anxiety and a fear of losing his mother when younger.
There is a history of cannabis use in the parents.
Carl is a 10-year-old boy with long-standing sinusitis as well as dyslexia. What is peculiar about this child is his great sensitivity to nature and trees, as well as the spacyness.
I thought this was a Cannabis indica case. Cannabis may be indicated in chronic sinus conditions as well as in poor focus and concentration with spaceyness. He has trouble perceiving words, they are moving on the page.
Carl is very sensitive to the plant kingdom, feeling a strong affinity to trees. There also is a family history of cannabis use.
I gave one dose of Cannabis indica 10MK.
Follow-up Five Weeks Later
Carl's sinus congestion has improved and the remedy has really helped with the dyslexia. The words are no longer moving on the page! Carl can read much more easily now. The teachers have commented on how much better he is doing.
I was amazed how much of an effect a single dose of Cannabis indica had on Carl's dyslexia. I think a lot of children with dyslexia and spaceyness might benefit from this remedy.
