Dental Implants and Psoriasis

Acute psoriasis after dental post installation

A 43-year old woman consulted with me recently regarding the sudden appearance of a spreading rash on the back and right side of her neck. The condition started 2-3 weeks ago.

The rash looked like psoriasis and since I knew that the patient had no previous history of this condition I asked her if she had recently had an infection, for example tonsillitis. Sudden onset of  psoriasis may be caused by strep infections, this is also known as post-streptococcal or guttate psoriasis.

It turned out that she had a post for a dental implant installed in her left lower jaw three weeks ago. I suspected that she had developed an infection in that area. She also had pain in the left side of her face as well as a headache.

I gave her a brief energy healing treatment which relieved her symptoms in minutes and prescribed Ledum pallustre, a homoepathic remedy for puncture wounds. I also recommended that she rinse her mouth several times a day with grapefruit seed extract and take zinc, vitamin C and large doses of powedered Goldenseal, a kind of natural antibiotic.

The rash started to clear within 24 hours. Two weeks later I saw her walking in the neighbourhood with her kids. She excitedly flagged me down to tell me that not only had her condition cleared up completely, but that a few days after seeing me her cat had gotten into a scuffle with another feline and been badly scratched around the head with much swelling and impending infection.

Apparently she had tried to reach me via an old email address to ask if she could give the homeopathic remedy for puncture wounds, which I had given her for her dental infection, to the cat. As I did not receive the message she decided to give him Ledum pallustre anyway and her cat improved overnight.

She was thrilled to have saved herself $300 in vet bills, which apparently was the ususal cost of one of kitty's brawls!
